AFA OB/GYN P.C., formally All Female Associates has been providing obstetrical and gynecological care in Concord since 1996.
Dr. Balcomb and the rest of our staff work together to provide you with the best possible medical care; understanding your unique and specific needs as a woman. We encourage all of our patients to discuss all your needs and concerns so that we can assist you in making the right medical decisions regarding your health.
We understand that our patients are time sensitive and our office hours and locations in both Concord and Westford, are in place to stress convenience. In addition, our staff are in place to you during office hours to facilitate your requests for medication refills, lab results or questions about your treatment.
Our practice includes our physician- our 3 Certified Nurse Midwives, Sherriann Perivolotis, Mitra Davis, and Trista Wehner and our Nurse Practitioner, Lesley Kenney. These 5 providers work closely together as a team to provide our patients with the most expert and compassionate care that our patients deserve.
Nurse midwives are educated in the two disciplines of nursing and midwifery. Certified nurse midwives provide prenatal care, labor and delivery care, care after birth, gynecological exams, assistance with family planning decisions, preconception care, menopausal management and counseling in health maintenance and disease prevention. With our physicians and midwife working closely together, women with pregnancies that are at higher risk are also able to have to benefit of midwifery care at AFA OB/GYN, if they choose.
Nurse Practitioners are educated in advanced nursing practice which encourages continuity of care; emphasizes safe, competent, clinical management; advocates non-intervention in normal processes; and promotes health education for women throughout the childbearing cycle. The nurse practitioner is uniquely qualified to care for normal, healthy women throughout the life cycle.
